What is Bottom of the Well?

Bottom of the Well is a monthly box subscription service, where each month we select and highlight one of America’s best bars, and create and distribute products and content for each bar.

How do I join?

Anyone can become a member, simply select the box package you want.

What is included in each monthly box?

Each month members receive an American Apparel t-shirt and randomized piece of bar swag (e.g. pint glass, matches, bottle opener, koozie, etc), which will both use graphics specially created for the bar of that month. Members will also receive access to Virtual Reality content filmed for that month’s bar. Finally, the first box a member receives will include a VR viewer. Sign up here.

Can I gift Bottom of the Well

Yes, you can gift Bottom of the Well. Upon checkout you will be given an option to send the box as a gift, and you will be provided a custom gift message to send to the recipient. The message will be emailed to the customer when you choose.

Is there really a Virtual Reality experience included?

Yes there is! Every month we will send you an email with a link to the VR content. We also supply you with a free VR viewer in your first box - be sure to keep it!

How do I view the Virtual Reality Experience

First, connect your phone to the nearest wifi network. This allows you to select the video's highest quality for the best viewing experience. You can access the videos in several ways. We will email you a link to the video, you can access the videos on our website, or you can search for Bottom of the Well on YouTube. Once you have found a video, be sure to select the highest quality for the viewing, you can do this in the upper right hand corner of the video, you will see three vertical dots. Next, you need to click the Google Cardboard icon in the bottom right of the YouTube video. The icon looks like a pair of binoculars. The result will split your screen into two videos that play the same footage, but are split for stereoscopic/3D viewing. Once you're ready, put the phone into a VR viewer (we provide one), and guide the dot on the screen to the play button. Continue to keep the dot on the play button until the video begins. Then have fun!

When does my Bottom of the Well box ship

We ship orders at the beginning of every month. All orders placed by the 20th day of the month by 11:59 PM Pacific Time will start you with the new month’s box. We use USPS first class mail, and all orders should arrive within 3-5 days of shipping.

What does it cost and what are the shipping fees?

Within the United States, the month-to-month, recurring service is $29.95 a month, which includes shipping. Customers can subscribe to a 3 month service (great for gifts) at a discounted $27.95 a month, or a 6 month membership at $25.95 a month. These same price points apply for customers out of the United States, but those customers will incur international shipping costs. Sign up here.

What is Bottom of the Well's return policy?

Because our tees are made to order we do not offer returns and all sales are final. If your tee is damaged or has any issues, such as the print being off center, we will make it right. Simply email us the issue + photo of the problem. Once approved, we will send you a brand new product at no cost to you.

Can I cancel my order after it is placed?

We process orders very quickly in order to ensure the fastest delivery possible. Because of this, we usually cannot change or cancel your order once it has been submitted. Please be sure to check all information very carefully before placing your order. If you discover a mistake, please scroll to the bottom of this page and use the contact form to let us know ASAP.

When will my account be charged?

We charge your card when you begin a subscription, and if you’re month-to-month, we charge when you sign up and then on that same day monthly.
